My name is Laura Smith and I am a London-based creative pattern cutter.
I have experience cutting patterns for many different designers and labels, including Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung and Klements.
I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fashion from Leeds College of Art and Design and a DMA in Textiles from Ecole Duperré, Paris. I have also undertaken a CAD/CAM pattern cutting course at the London College of Fashion and graduated from the highly regarded Innovative Pattern Cutting course at Central Saint Martins.
Having worked as the manager of Broadwick Silks for five years, I can attest to having extensive knowledge of various fabrics and their qualities.
I am available to hire as a pattern cutter on a freelance basis. I have a fully set up studio in East London or I am also happy to work in-house.
